Bridge Wizard V8 — MAKOv2 Burn-and-Mint (Loop → BSC)

Last Updated: October 21, 2026 at 08:55 PM EDT

The Loop→BSC leg of MAKOv2's cross-chain bridge: burn MAKOv2 on Loop Network, mint the equivalent on BSC via a governance-controlled adapter. A newer, materially earlier-stage effort than the V7 leg — contracts are deployed and verified, with the adapter registration and mint ceiling executed and independently verified on 2026-09-17.

Contracts deployed and independently verified on BSC mainnet, with zero open Critical/High/Medium findings from independent IV&V. No live engineering validation has run yet — that step, and everything after it, remains ahead.

Milestones

1-4
BSC contracts drafted and unit-testedToken, adapter, and relayer extension all built, mirroring the proven V7 (Loop-side) design for the symmetric burn-and-mint leg.
Done
5
Independent IV&V — PASSZero open Critical/High/Medium/Low findings after four remediation rounds.
Done
6
Contracts deployed to BSC mainnetAll three contracts deployed and independently re-verified on-chain.
Done
7
Adapter registration and mint ceilingFully executed and independently verified on-chain — the adapter is registered and approved, and the mint ceiling is set to its target value.
Done
8
Controlled live engineering validationRelayer live and cron-automated on Site5. All required live-validation scenarios — including real live-fund Loop→BSC burn-and-mint runs — completed 2026-09-18 through 2026-09-24, independently verified on-chain; scenario-coverage requirement fully satisfied.

Final IV&V and governance cutoverShares V7's final-IV&V gate: the joint independent review has failed on repeated rounds, most recently Round 9 (2026-10-02); the Round 10 candidate frozen 2026-10-03 was itself superseded the next day by a newer candidate. MAKO Core's 2026-10-04 response to Bridge's latest memo withheld deploy approval pending ten findings; by 2026-10-05 the findings were answered or closed, except one that stays open until the final candidate is announced; closed items include correcting the Site5 cron interval for both bridge legs to the required 15-minute minimum (applied 2026-10-05) and the last finding's dead-code/logical-operator review. The one batch commit (not yet started) and MAKO Core's blind pre-review remain ahead before any new IV&V task order. No evidence of asset compromise; core contract-level security remains confirmed sound. As of 2026-10-16 the formal IV&V request for the next round has not yet been filed, and this milestone remains RED. Blocked on the same process as V7's milestone 18b before any governance cutover.

Relationship to MAKO Web

This roadmap covers MAKO Bridge's own build/validation work. Once public production is authorized, this leg will be handed to the MAKO Web Team for integration into the live site, following the same request/answer/ POA&M handoff pattern already used for Contract Scan. It does not yet appear on the live site's product surface — this page tracks the work required before that handoff can happen.
